AIM/R was formed in 1973 when a group of Rep Agency Principals came together and decided to share best practices. The focus was to professionalize their agencies and share insights and strategies, so they could be a stronger partner with their manufacturing principals.

Chuck Michel was there at the beginning and assumed the presidency as the 3rd AIM/R President. Kelly Michel served as the 17th President from 1992-1993. Over the years, three Michel Sales members have served on the National AIM/R board and another joined in 2022.

Currently four Michel Sales members have earned the CPMR (Certified Professional Manufacturers’ Representative) certification: Kelly Michel, Rick Michel, Matt Michel and Dan Michel.

Simply put, AIM/R allows us to educate our team and share best practices with other Peer Representative companies in North America. This give us the tools to successfully market our factories’ products, gain market share and be the resource that our installing customers can depend on.
